Services Have Been Rescheduled: No Visitation on Tuesday

Doug Neal age 71 of Smithville, passed away Sunday morning, January 14, 2018 at his residence.  He was born January 22, 1946 to his parents, the late Clarence and Lillian Hale Neal.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 great-granddaughter, Gracie Colwell; 1 sister, Bobbie Jean Houk and 1 brother, L.W. Neal.  Doug and Kathy were the owners of All State Drywall and Painting, he was a Freewill Baptist and attended the Smithville First Freewill Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Kathy Neal of Smithville; 6 children, Gayle Pack of Smithville, Bruce Neal of Smithville, Greg Neal of Smithville, Brian (Crystal) Neal of Smithville, Ronnie (Samantha) Neal of Cookeville and Nathan Neal of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Kerrrie, Kayla, Alisha, Brice, Kerra, Seth, Brilee, Ricky, Austin, Maddison and Elijah; 5 great-grandchildren, Kyndall, Sy, Carson, Lillie and Kordale; 4 sisters, Loretta Bain, Pat Sanders, Linda Knowles and Elaine McGuire all of Smithville; special niece and caregiver, Deborah Page and several nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Bernard Houk and Mike Adams officiating and burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday 12 Noon until 8:PM and Thursday 9:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
