Irene Thomas age 82 of McMinnville passed away Saturday morning, December 3, 2016 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville.  She was born January 16, 1934 to her parents, the late Lonnie and Minnie Pack Parsley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jack, Buddy and William Parsley and 2 sisters, Frances Pinkard and Effie Hodges.  She was a Baptist and retired from Kingston Timer's.  Survivors include her husband, Alfred Thomas of McMinnville; 1 son, D.L. (Diane) Murphy of McMinnville; 3 grandchildren, Tammy( David) Murphy, Eddie (Bridgett) Murphy, and Jeff (Taledia) Murphy; 8 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Monday 10:AM until 8:PM and Tuesday 9:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
