James Alton Hayes age 63 of Smithville passed away Monday at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.  He was the son of the late Alton Hayes and Evelyn Carter Waggoner, He was also preceded in death by his Step-Father, George Waggoner.  James was Disabled and was a member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Amy Keith Hayes of Smithville; 3 Children, Jayme Linn Hayes of Smithville, Brently James Hayes and Amanda Hayes Stallcup both of McMinnville; Step-Children, Brittney and Christian Cantrell; Grandchildren, Samantha, Ashley, Leah, Toby, Kayla, Michael, Elizabeth and Eli; Brother, Harold Douglas Waggoner of Smithville; Special Friend, Caitlyn Anderson.  Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday January 17, 2013 at Smithville First Assembly of God with Bro. Larry Briggs and Bro. Donnie Kelly and interment to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Thursday 11:AM until 1:PM at the Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
