Kathy Staley Olds age 64 of Smithville passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at her residence.  She was born January 2, 1952 to her parents, the late Dale Staley and Wilma Ferrell Staley.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Jan Higdon and 1 nephew, Jamie Higdon.  Kathy was a member of Buckner's Chapel United Methodist Church and was a nurse, paramedic and a photographer with Wal-Mart.  She is survived by 1 daughter, Tisha Vickers-Burns of Smithville; 2 grandchildren, Dylan Michael Jamison Burns and Hannah Dale Groshon; mother, Wilma Staley of Smithville; 1 brother, Tim (Debbie) Staley of Smithville; nieces, Mindy Versluis, Chynna Cade, Brittany Cade, Kesha Staley Bradford and Kiley Staley.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:PM Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Bonham Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Monday 4:30 PM until 8:PM and Tuesday 10AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
