Phillip Stanley Walls age 68 of Smithville, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his residence.  He was born March 30, 1949 to his parents, the late Roy V. and Nannie L. Adcock Walls.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters, Janie Woodlee, Tommy Walls, Clarence Walls, Gene Walls, James Howell Walls, Ann Farless and Thelma Webb.  Phillip was a nursery worker.  Survivors include 2 sons, Phillip Stanley Walls, II (Billee Kirby) and Nicholas Cody Walls both of Smithville; 2 brothers, Dan and Bobby Walls both of Smithville; 5 sisters, Rita Walls, Ellen Clayton, Kathy Scott and Verna Green all of Smithville and Wanda Hollis of McMinnville; special friend, Tracey Minnear of Smithville; caregiver, Arlene Cookie Hullett and several nieces and nephews.  Phillip's family has honored his request to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be 5:30 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Michael Hullett and Michael Hale officiating and there will be a private family burial in Hullett Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Thursday 12 Noon until the time of the memorial service at 5:30 PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
