Gary Fuson Obituary

Gary Lee Fuson age 77 of Smithville, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at his residence.  He was born March 8, 1947 to his parents, the late Luther Lee and Robbie Bennett Fuson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Kimberly Fuson; son, Gary Lee Fuson, II; daughter, Danealle Pace and sister, Paula Smith.  Mr. Fuson was a police officer, U.S. Army veteran, member of the Am Vets Post 101 and American Legion Post 122.  He is survived by children, William (Sarah) Fuson of Smithville, Nicole (Robert) Bruhn of Dowelltown, Maria Fuson of Virginia, Michael Morris of Smithville and James Fuson of Alabama; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Brandi and Elizabeth from Adoration.  Funeral services will be 11:AM Saturday, March 30, 2024 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in Bonham Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation will be Saturday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Am Vets Post 101 or American Legion Post 122 in memory of Mr. Fuson.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Fuson family.
