Dorothy Jane (Poppell) Nardone

Dorothy Jane Nardone age 66 of Smithville and a native of Florida, passed away Wednesday morning, August 8, 2018 at her residence.  She was born January 24, 1952 to her parents, the late, William Poppell and Jennie Randolph.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Alice Bailey, Jimmy Ray and Elizabeth Ray.  She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Anastasia Catholic Church.  She leaves to cherish her memory, 1 son, William Morris of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 daughters, Michele Nardone and Rosina Nardone both of Smithville; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan (Ashley) Morris, Giavanti Nardone, Marlee Nardone; 2 great-grandchildren, Colton and Owen Morris; 8 siblings, Shirley Engman, Betty Dupree, Kenneth Ray, Bobby Ray, Pat Crowe, Mona Lincoln, Debbie Dugan and Billy Poppell.  The family has honored Ms. Dorothy's request to be cremated and no services are planned.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
