Dwight A. Walker

Dwight Walker age 70, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was born June 17,1949 to his parents the late Cecil and Maggie Green Walker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, J. B. Walker, Charles Walker, and Cordell Walker; sisters, Lera Arnold, Milbie Walker, and Fay Griffin. Mr. Walker was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church and worked at Avco for 28 years. He is survived by his wife, Minnie M. Walker of Altamont; children, Shana (Dennis) Speck of Sparta, Chad (April) Walker of Centertown; 2 step-sons, David Burnett and Greg Burnett both of Altamont; grandchildren, Jacob Speck, Joshua Speck, Hunter Walker, Kadance Walker, Kloee Walker and Thea Anderson; step-grandchildren, Jessica Orlando, Justin Paul Burnett and Zackry Burnett; brothers, Douglas Walker, Jerry Walker, and Ronnie Walker all of Smithville; sister, Shirley Cook of Smithville. Funeral services will be 1:PM Friday October 18, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dowel Barrett and Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 2:PM until 8:PM and on Friday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
