John Edward Adamson

John Edward Adamson age 89 of Smithville, passed away Tuesday night, February 26, 2019 at his residence.  He was the son of the late, Owen and Georgia Adamson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Geneva Shoemake and Frances Adamson.  John was a member of New Home Baptist Church and a retired salesman.  He is survived by his wife, Shelia Adamson of Smithville; 2 step-daughters, Martha (Richie) Knowles of Smithville, Mary (Mark) Fritts of Soddy Daisy; 3 step-grandchildren, Gabriel (Kylee) Knowles, Hannah Knowles, Whitney Jacobs; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Shelby and Shiloh Jacobs; 2 special pets, Jazz and Max.  Funeral services will be 1:PM Friday, March 1, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale and Richie Knowles officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Friday 10AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements
