Lemuel Clyde Blaine, Jr. age 66 of Smithville passed away on Tuesday night, November 5, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER. He was born November 17, 1952 to his parents, the late Lemuel Clyde and Betsy Norlee Hevener Blaine, Sr. Mr. Blaine was a truck driver and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Blaine of Smithville; step-daughter, Lacey (Ryan) Theede of Black Mtn., NC; step-grandson, Max Theede; sister, Susan Blaine of Broadway, VA and step-daughter, Connie (C.E.) Hodge of North Port, FL. The family has honored Mr. Blaine's request to be cremated and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in memory of Mr. Blaine. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
