Mary Louise (Mabe) Cantrell

Mary Louise Cantrell age 89 of Smithville passed away Wednesday morning, October 31, 2018 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.  She was born April 14, 1929 to her parents, the late Aaron Louis and Vera Lola Pollard Mabe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Seborn Cantrell; 4 brothers, Dexter Mabe, Jewel Mabe, Jerry Wayne Mabe and Louis Mabe; 2 sisters, Pauline Billings and Roeina Mabe and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  Louise was a faithful member of the Mt. View Primitive Baptist Church and a retired shirt factory worker.  She is survived by 1 son, Dana Cantrell of Smithville; foster daughter, Doris (Steve) Cantrell of Smithville; 1 granddaughter, Arian Cantrell; 1 brother, Carlon (Jeanette) Mabe of Smithville; 1 sister, Linda (Gene) Jones of Bon Air; sisters-in-law, Lillian (Brownie) Tittsworth of Smithville, Judy Cantrell, Lois Gay and Marie Mabe all of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Dale Cantrell of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:PM Monday, November 5, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Elders Paul Violet and Ricky Arnold officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be on Monday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel, to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
