No one could see Karen without smiling, or know her sweetness without loving her. I immediately see her in her basketball suit, heading for another goal. But she met many goals in her life: knowing Jesus and the Christian life, her wonderful husband Shaun and their precious children, having a second family at the Smithville Church of Christ, her beautiful mother and family. Karen WAS AND IS BEAUTIFUL through and through. Thank you God for sharing her with us, and for taking care of her throughout eternity! With much love, Nancy

Betty, I am so, so very sorry to hear about karen. I didn't know she was sick but I have been out of touch for years. She was one of my favorites and there was no other player that had the character, love and Christian compassion like her. Pam and I lost our son (Michael) about 4 yrs. ago and I have never gotten over it and am more or less been a recluse for years. God will get you through all of this because we can't do anything on our own.
I was in education for some 46 yrs and when I look back at my coaching career then there is no doubt that Karen is right at the top. I have made the statement many times that Karen was one of the finest girls I have ever known and I loved her like a daughter. God Bless you and karen and all of your family. Coach Bilyeu

We were so saddened to hear of your loss. She will always be in your hearts and now, she is in the arms of the Angels. Thinking of you and sending prayers your way.
