Vanessa Shehane-Greer

Vanessa Shehane Greer age 63 of Rockwood and a native of DeKalb County, passed away Thursday evening at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.  She was born November 7, 1954 to her parents, the late Robert Lee and Louise Pedigo Shehane.  She was a homemaker and member of the Town Creek Old Fashioned Missionary Baptist Church.  Survivors include 3 children, Kenny (Jennifer) Greer, Rhonda (Stephen) Squires and Josh (Renee) Greer all of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren, Katie and Kayla Greer, Kasey (Ethan) Jenkins, Dalton Squires, Kane and Kenzie Greer, Hunter McKoin, Gracie, Jada and Gary Owens and Cole Borcherding; 3 great-grandchildren, Addison, Jayden and Hunter Greer; Father of her children, Kenneth Greer, Sr. of Lebanon; 3 brothers, Wayne (Jean) Shehane of Smithville, Tommy (Rita) Shehane of McMinnville, Miles (Tabby) Shehane of Smithville; 1 sister, Lucy Russell of McMinnville; special nephew, Rychi Watson; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted 2:PM Tuesday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Buster Drennon officiating and burial will follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Monday 4:PM until 8:PM and Tuesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
