Mr. Tom England age 82 of the Blue Springs Community of DeKalb County passed away Friday morning December 22, 2017 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER.  He was born July 22, 1935 to his parents, the late Charlie and Kate Vinson England.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 children, Vanessa, David and Shane England; 1 sister, Linda Faye Hackney and 2 brothers, Paul and Clifford England.  He was a Baptist.  Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Cheryl Ann England of Smithville; 2 daughters, Cathy of North Carolina and Rose of Ohio; 3 sons, Brian (Janet) England, Shawn (Donna) England and Robert (Stephanie) England all of Smithville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Betty Sue Harrison and 1 brother, James "J.B." England both of Alabama; several nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:PM Wednesday , December 27, 2017 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Wendell Judkins and Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday 3:PM until 8:PM and Wednesday 11:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help with expenses, in memory of Tom.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
