Anna Mae Moore age 74 of Smithville was born September 1, 1951, in Mousie, KY and departed this life on Saturday morning, May 2, 2026, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Raphael and Dollie Short Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Vondon Hayes, Shirl Hayes, Ivin Hayes, Charles Hayes, Glen Hayes and Barbara Dixon and a sisters-in-law, Verda Craft and Linda Hayes. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and she and her husband owned Sligo Canvas Shop, where she was a sewer. She loved the Lord, her family and working in her flowers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, Carlos Moore of Smithville; three children, Patricia (John) Mountz, Leticia (Brian) Koegler and Michael Moore (Stephanie Banks) all of Smithville; grandchildren, Austin (Breanna) Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Luke Johnson, Graciella Johnson, Elizabeth (Seth) Wright, Shaunta (Tyler) Cantrell and Abram Koegler; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Remi Wright and Baker Cantrell; sister, Opal (Billy) Scott of Mousie, KY, brother, Rodney (Becky) Hayes of Mousie, KY, brother-in-law, Alonzo Dixon of West Point, KY and special sisters-in-law, June Smith, Brenda Pratt and Rosa Chaffins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bobby Thomason officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Monday 4 PM until 8 PM and Tuesday 10 AM until the time of the service at 12 Noon. In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Anna. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Moore family.
