Anna Fay (Judkins) Vandergriff Elrod

Anna Fay Vandergriff Elrod age 84 of Smithville, passed away Thursday morning, July 24, 2025, at her residence.  She was born August 2, 1940, to her parents, the late Edward Burrice and Lucy Anderson Judkins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death husbands, Joe Vandergriff and Harold Elrod; sisters, Gladys Vickers and Johnnie Warren; great-grandson, Kolby Jacobs.  Fay was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church and retired from Avco in Nashville.  She is survived by 1 daughter, Lisa Vandergriff Church of Smithville; 2 granddaughters, Quastaia Braswell of Smithville and Ashley Pierrot of North Carolina; 1 great-granddaughter, Kaylee (Breydan) Hutchings of Smithville; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Cason and Carmen Hutchings.  Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Sunday, July 27, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tony Warren officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday 12 Noon until the time of the service at 3 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Elrod family.
