Barbara Dean Driver Davis, age 74, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 16, 2026. She was a kind and gentle soul and will forever be loved and remembered for her sweetness and her beautiful singing voice.
Barbara was born on March 18, 1952. She was the second youngest of seven siblings, all raised on Dismal in Liberty, Tennessee.
Barbara graduated from DeKalb County High School in 1970. She is fondly remembered for her years of service at City Bank – most recently known as Regions, where she worked as a bank teller and administrator for 29 1/2 years. She later worked at Caney Fork Electric for 18 years until her retirement.
Barbara was a devoted member of Faith Congregational Methodist Church in Dowelltown. She sang with the Faith Singers, a group that touched many hearts through their ministry of music as they traveled throughout Middle Tennessee, sharing the message of Jesus Christ in song.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmer and Athalene Ellis Driver, and her sister, Louise Goodwin.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Roger Davis, who remained steadfastly by her side through every joy and trial, offering unwavering love and support—especially during the last years of her life. She also leaves behind two brothers, Alfred Driver of Bowling Green, KY and Joe (Kathy) Driver of Smithville; and three sisters, Reba Fuson of Liberty, Telie Miller, and Marie (Joe) Johnson, both of Smithville. Several nieces and nephews also survive, who will cherish the memory of their Aunt Barbara. She will live forever in our hearts.
Funeral services will be 4 PM Sunday, April 19, 2026 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bobby Thomason officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday 11 AM until the time of the service at 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barbara’s beloved Faith Congregational Methodist Church in Dowelltown, Tennessee.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Davis family.
