Betty Jean Pack age 71 of Smithville passed away Thursday morning, April 10, 2025, at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital, ER. She was born May 5, 1953, to her parents the late Henry Hobert and Ruby Elizabeth Thomas Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie (PeeWee) Pack; sister, Clara (Phillip) Wilkey, brother, Leroy (Penny) Hale; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Hale, Candy Hale, Sharon Pack and Pam Pack; nephews: John Keith Hale and Anthony Hale. Betty was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Baptist Church and worked at Texas Boot and Tenneco. She is survived by sons, Donald Pack and Christopher Thomas Pack; grandchildren, Ashley, Donald and Doranda Pack, Aubree Bruno; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers: Steve (Linda) Hale, Thomas Hale, John Hale, Charlie (Ellen) Hale; sister, Pauline Crook; several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be held 2:PM Sunday, April 13, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Visitation with the family be Saturday 4:PM until 7:PM and on Sunday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Pack family.
