Bobbie S. (Spencer) Ervin

Bobbie Spencer Ervin, age 92, of Smithville, passed away Thursday night October 19, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in Smithville.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.  Her primary occupation was mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, which she fulfilled with beauty and grace.  Bobbie loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.  Her greatest joy was her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband James M. Ervin; parents: W.J. Spencer and Stepmother Barbara Close Spencer.  She is survived by her daughters: Jane (Vester) Parsley of Smithville, Alice (Aubrey) Moseley of Murfreesboro.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren: John Parsley of Smithville, Rebecca Troxell (Levi) of Manchester, Sarah Sheets, Julie Wolfe and Rachel Peters (Kyle) of Murfreesboro; two great-grandchildren: Mason Peters and Elizabeth Sheets.  Funeral services for Bobbie will be private.  She will be laid to rest at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Expression of sympathy may be expressed at www.dekalbfuneralchapel.com.  A special thank you to the staff at NHC for the excellent care Bobbie has received over the last eleven years.  The family was truly blessed to have such caring people looking after her and will always be grateful for the excellent health care that was given.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
