Brenda Gail Thomason

Brenda "Gail" Thomason, age 69 of Smyrna passed away Wednesday September 6, 2023, at her sister's home in Smithville. She was born July 7, 1954, to her mother, Pauline Dodd and her late father, Jimmy Lee Thomason. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by step-father, Kenneth Dodd; and brother, Jimmy Wade Thomason. Gail was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church, and was retired from Nissan. She is survived by her mother, Pauline Dodd of Smithville; 2 sisters, Carolyn Farrar of Murfreesboro, and Janey (Larry) Dickens of Smithville; 2 brothers, Steve (Kathy) Thomason of McMinnville, and Tony (Renee) Thomason of Lebanon; step-mother, Arlene Thomason of Smyrna; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, September 9, 2023 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. B, J. Thomason and J. D. Young officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 3:PM till 6:PM and on Saturday 10:AM until the time of the service at 12:Noon. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
