Carolyn Fay (Washer) Chapman

Carolyn Fay Chapman age 72, passed away Thursday evening June 9, 2023 at Generations Healthcare Center of Spencer. She was born July 15, 1950 to her parents, the late Wilburn and Margaret Miller Washer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister, Brenda Robinson; brothers, Jimmy Washer and Staley Washer. She attended Snow Hill Baptist Church and was a Homemaker. She is survived by 2 children, Cameron Dunn of Smithville and Tracey Dunn of McMinnville; 2 grandchildren, Memphis and Paiton; 2 great-grandchildren, Paisley and Noah Crook; daughter-in-law, Sandy Dunn of Smithville; 3 brothers, Doyle (Marie) Washer, Billy (Sharon) Washer, and Bobby Washer all of Smithville; 5 sisters, Ada (Jimmy) Qualls of Morrison, Linda Evans, Claudean (Darrell) Pedigo, Cathy Henry, and Betty (Robert) Lawson all of Smithville. Funeral services will be held 3:PM Monday June12, 2023 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Frank Bratcher officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday 10:AM until the time of the service at 3:PM. The family ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
