Danny Ray Ponder

Danny Ray Ponder age 61 of Dowelltown, passed away Thursday November 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born August 17, 1961, to his parents, Mary Frances Pratt Ponder Smith and the late Frank Eugene Ponder. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Jeffery Ponder; and sister, Charlotte Ponder.  Mr. Ponder served in the Army National Guard and worked for Yates at Nissan, and he was a Tool and Die Maker. He is survived by his mother, Frances Smith of Dowelltown; brother, Gary Ponder of Dowelltown; niece, Gwen Harrington of Shelbyville; nephews, Aaron Ponder, Chris Ponder and Brandon Ponder. Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday November 23, 2022, at Burton-Ponder Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 1:30 until 2:15 at which time we will leave to go to Burton-Ponder Cemetery for Graveside Service. The family has ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
