Danny Austin Reeder

Danny Austin Reeder age 73 of Smithville passed away Thursday August 6, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. He was born August 13, 1952, to his parents the later Ray Loring and Bertie Ruth Turner Reeder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jo Ann Reeder, Regina Reeder, Billy Reeder, and Terry Reeder. Mr. Reeder was a Baptist and worked at DeKalb School Bus Garage as a Mechanic and a driver. He is survived by three children, Charlotte Reeder (Billy Enlow) of McMinnville, Michael Reeder of Smithville, Tina Reeder of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jenniffer (Luis) Vargas, Hunter Barnes, Austin and Justin Myers, Tiffany (Katie) West, Megan Rutledge, Haley Rutledge (Jagger McCormick), Makayla Reddy, Keley Reeder; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy (Debbie) Reeder, Barbara Reeder, Forrest "Hulie" Reeder, Peggy Reeder, Donald "Duck" Reeder; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family has honored Mr. Reeder's request to be cremated, and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, August 29 at the Blackford Cemetery. The family ask in lieu of flowers donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Reeder family.
