David Hugh Redmon

David Hugh Redmon age 78, of Smithville passed away Tuesday September 27, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was born May 6, 1944 to his parents, the late John Peter "Doc" and Lou Verna West Redmon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step-son, Kyle Robinson; uncle, Don Redmon. Mr. Redmon was a member of Spring Street The Baptist Church and worked as Utility Contractor. David enjoyed working and being on his backhoe and fishing.  He is survived by wife, Patricia Redmon of Smithville; daughter, Kim Taylor of Lebanon; step-sons, Mark (Shawnn) Robinson, and Kevin Robinson of Smithville; grandchildren, Kristie Taylor and fiancé Kris Harris, Tre Taylor and fiancé Taylor Greer and Maggie Robinson; great-grandchild, Pasleigh Taylor Harris; sister, Linda (Jimmy) Crawford of Smithville; brother, Donnie (Cindy) Redmon of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces also survive. Funeral services will be held 11:AM Friday September 30, 2022 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dwight Knowles and Bro. David Frazier officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 12: noon till 8:PM and Friday 9:AM until the time of the service at 11:AM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
