Delores Irene (Allsop) Jones

Delores Irene Jones age 86 of Smithville, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at NHC HealthCare Center in Smithville.  She was born July 9, 1933 to her parents, the late Everett and Gertrude Doran Allsop.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Jones; son, Charles V. Jones; siblings, Junior Allsop, William Allsop, Joseph Allsop, Ruby Dunaway and Sweed Allsop.  Ms. Delores was a homemaker and a member of the Dry Creek Baptist Church.  She leaves to cherish her memory 2 children, Richard Reed Jones of Crossville and Janet (Kevin) Felts of Tullahoma; 1 grandson, Trent Jones of Knoxville; 1 great-granddaughter, Nora Jones; 1 sister, Helen Spicer of Prescott Valley, AZ.  The family has chosen a direct cremation and Memorial Service will be 12:30 PM Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Dry Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Donald Owens officiating.  We ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise Social Distancing.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
