Donald "Donnie" Gene Rigsby

Donald Gene "Donnie" Rigsby age 59 of Smithville passed away Monday November 16, 2020 at his residence.  He was born April 1, 1961 to his parents, the late Jewel Brown "Red" and Margie Elizabeth Pascal Rigsby.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, twin brother Ronald Dean Rigsby, James "Jim" Rigsby, Floyd Lynn Rigsby and Danny Marlin Rigsby.  He was of the Baptist Faith and self-employed. He is survived by 1 son, Jonathan Rigsby of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Gwenevere Alalyne and Bellamay Alarie Rigsby; 2 sisters, Melissa King and Margie Miller both of Smithville; 3 brothers, Lloyd Rigsby, Bob Rigsby and Billy Rigsby all of Smithville; sister-in-law, Elaine Rigsby of Smithville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Graveside services and interment will be 11:AM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Jefferson Cemetery with Bro. Michael Hale officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday 9:AM until 10:30 at the funeral home. then Mr. Rigsby will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Jefferson Cemetery in memory of Donnie.  Due to Covid 19, please exercise social distancing for the health and safety of everyone.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
