Donna Faye (Sandlin) Certain

Donna Faye Sandlin Certain age 67 of Cookeville and formerly of Smithville, was born July 10, 1959, to her parents, Eugene and Sadie Redmon Sandlin and departed this life on Wednesday morning, July 22, 2026 at her home in Cookeville.  She was born and raised in Liberty, she met Buddy certain and they married and he preceded her in death in February 1999.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Self and Garnette Prater and twin sister, Pamela Kay Sandlin.  She was a retired factory worked and member of the Dowelltown United Methodist Church.  She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Pamela Certain of Gordonsville, Jennifer Hicks of Smithville and Amanda (Erik) Colman of Sparta; one son, Buddy Dallas Certain of Cookeville; grandchildren, Ayleah Warren, Austin Certain, Cameron Certain, Chloe Certain, Zariah Certain, Olivia Certain, Kyle Fisher, Atticus Certain, Tyler Parsley and Trevor Parsley; one sister, Melissa (Howell) Prater of Smithville; two brothers, Nelson (Vicky) Sandlin and Lanny (Vicki) Sandlin both of Liberty; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, July 24, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Thursday 3 PM until 7 PM and Friday 11 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM.  In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to the American Cancer Society in memory of Donna.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Certain family.
