Dorothy Jean (Hutchens) Baines

Dorothy Jean Baines age 92 of Smithville, passed away Thursday night October 24, 2024, at Willow Branch Health & Rehab in McMinnville.  She was born June 18, 1932, to her parents, the late Everett & Ina Louise Jones Hutchens.  Ms. Dorothy was a Pentecostal and worked at the Hosiery Mill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Baines; Sisters: Pauline Hutchens, Annie Louise Hutchens; Brother: Jerry Hutchings, Sr.  Funeral service will be held 2:PM Monday October 28, 2024, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joe Jones officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Sunday 1:PM until 5:PM and Monday 10:AM until the time of service at 2:PM.  Survivors include: 3 sons: Gary Baines, Michael (Linda) Baines, Ronald (Gail) Baines all of Smithville; Grandchildren: Jason Baines, Caleb (Carrie) Baines, Emily (Josh) Linder, Michael Paul (Karla) White; Great Grandchildren: Matthew Baines, Ira Baines, Katie Linder, John Linder, Lilliann Linder, Wesley White, Adelyn White; Brother: Edward (Janie) Hutchings of Smithville; Sisters: Mary (Jay) Young, Loretta Walls both of Smithville; Several nieces & nephews; Special Friend: Peggy (John) Caldwell.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Baines family.
