Dorothy "Dot" Jewell (Walls) Rogers

Dorothy "Dot" Rogers, age 96, of Smithville, passed away Monday April 27, 2026, at N H C Healthcare of Smithville.  She was born January 18, 1930, to her parents the late John Repsie and Nancy Fuson Walls.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Willie Rogers; brother, Paul Walls.  Ms. Dot was a faithful member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and worked at the Hosiery Mill, Silk Mill and retired from Carrier.  She is survived by sister-in-law, Pat Walls; nephew, John Walls; nieces, Robbin Walls and Tracie Fann; several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.  Graveside services and interment will be 11 AM Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in McMinnville with Bro. Ric Lee officiating. There will not be any visitation or services held at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Ms. Rogers.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Rogers family.
