Evelyn Louise Sneed Hein age 90 of McMinnville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 21, 2026, in McMinnville. She was born October 3, 1935, in Newark, NJ, to her parents, the late Reginald and May Gray Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Rufus Gregg, Lynton Sneed and Paul Hein; son, Kim Maynard Gregg; brothers, Alfred and Eddie Evans and sister Dorothy Brazil. She was a member of Clinton Hill Baptist Church in New Jersey, worked as a telephone operator and also as a food sample demonstrator. She enjoyed square dancing. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Linn Gregg of Morristown, TN, Kitty (Andrew) Janecke and Sheree Gregg both of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Misty Garren, Nicholas Janecke, Jesse Janecke, Jacob Janecke, Wendy Brown, Monica Baker and Paula Hotz; great-grandchildren, Abby, Jordyn, Axle, Judson and several other great-grandchildren. Funeral services celebrating her life will be 2 PM Monday, March 23, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gaylon Dawson officiating and burial will follow in Milton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for Mrs. Evelyn's family.
