Frances (Pinegar) Johnson

Frances Johnson age 76 of Dowelltown passed away Friday August 29, 2025 at N H C Healthcare of Smithville.  She was born June 20, 1949, to her parents the late George and Mary Luna Pinegar.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Marie Johnson.  Frances was a faithful member of Covenant Baptist Church, where she was very influential in the lives of many people through the years.  She served as the Director of Smithville Housing Authority and was the secretary at Johnson and Son Cabinet Shop.  She is survived by husband, Larry Johnson of Dowelltown; son, David Johnson of Dowelltown; grandchildren, Austin (Breanna) Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Luke Johnson, and Gracie-Ella Johnson; brother, Kenneth (Sandy) Pinegar; niece, Donna (Keith) Herbert.  Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday August 31, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Bobby Thomason and B. J. Thomason officiating and interment will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Saturday 5 PM until 8 PM and Sunday 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp or Covenant Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Frances.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Johnson family.
