Frances (Alexander) Rigsby

Frances Rigsby age 87, of Smithville passed away Thursday June 22, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. She was born June 6, 1936, to her parents the late James Isaac and Alton Smith Alexander.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Lori Ann Nokes; brothers: James Isaac Alexander, Bill Alexander, Nick Alexander, Jimmy Alexander, and an infant brother; sisters: Mary Foster, Audrey Elam, and Dorothy Bennett. Mrs. Frances was a member of the Indian Creek Memorial Baptist Church and a Homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jackie Rigsby of Smithville; son: Jackie Darrell Rigsby of Smithville; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Nancy Colwell of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 2:PM Sunday, June 25, 2023, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Ric Lee and Terry Fesler officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday 3:PM until 8:PM and Sunday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  In addition to flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp, Indian Creek Memorial Baptist Church or the charity of your choice, in memory of Mrs. Frances. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
