Franklin Pierce Bennett, JR.

Franklin Pierce Bennett, Jr. age 87, of Smithville formerly of Michigan, passed away at his residence  Monday March 20, 2023. He was born September 5, 1935 to his parents the late Franklin and Florence Young Bennett, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy P. Bennett and Peter A. Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a Retired Minister at Episcopalian Church in Michigan and currently a member of St. Paul's Church in Murfreesboro. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Bennett of Smithville; daughter, Rebecca (Kevin) Frederick of Smithville; grandchildren, James A. Frederick and Patrick Frederick of Smithville; nephews, Timothy Bennett, Jr., and Matthew Bennett; and his dog, Skyla Blue. The family has honored Mr. Bennett's request to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in Michigan at a later date. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
