Henretta Colwell Caldwell age 60 of Smithville passed away Monday July 13, 2026, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 5, 1965, to her late parents the late Rosco and Beulah Redmon Colwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Carl James Caldwell and William Hoyt Caldwell and his wives, Martha and Jeanine; sister, Joyce Marlene Caldwell. Henretta attended First Freewill Baptist Church and worked at Star Manufacturing for 36 years and loved everyone very much that she worked with. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday July 16, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday 3 PM until 7 PM and on Thursday 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. She is survived by two sisters, Charlotte (Hank) Ballew of Clarksville and Carolyn Colwell of Smithville; nieces and nephews, Carla Caldwell, June Anna Caldwell, Daniel Caldwell, Tressa Ballew (Lewis) Lastik, Hank (Lisa) Ballew, Jr.; great nephews, Jack Ballew, Nick (Cainey) Ballew; great-great niece, Judy Bee; sister-in-law, June Caldwell - the wife of the late Carl Caldwell; uncle, Ernest (Linda) Redmon; special friends, Rachel (Greg) Ellis , Katlynn (Brady) Hale, Logan (Payton) Ellis, Brinley Ellis, Landon Ellis, and Brandi Liggett; and several cousins. The family ask in lieu of flowers donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Henretta. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Caldwell family.
