1sgt. H. G, "Fritz" Pullin age 75 of Smithville passed away Friday December 1, 2023, at his residence. He was born April 30, 1948, in Refugio, Texas to his parents the late Curtis and Marjorie Ellison Pullin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill Pullin and Larry Pullin. Fritz served 24 years in the United States Army, he was a Computer Programmer and Owned a Painting Company. He is survived by his wife, Susan Pullin of Smithville; son, Michael C. Pullin of Texas; step-son, Michael Reeder of Smithville; longtime friend, Dennis Blackford. He met his wife through his longtime friend and Army buddy, Dennis Blackford. It did not take long for Fritz and Susan to realize that God had put them together. They enjoyed being on the water, traveling or just sitting on the porch. As long as they were together, they were happy. Funeral service will be 1:PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023, with Bro. Billy Martin officiating and burial to follow in Blackford Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be Tuesday 1:PM till 7:PM and on Wednesday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. The family ask in lieu of flowers please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project, Shriners Hospital or St. Judes Hospital. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
