James Edward "Jimmy" Bain, Sr., age 65, of Indiana, formerly of Smithville, passed away in Marion Indiana on August 1, 2023. He was born August 18, 1957 to his parents the late J. E. Bain and Carolyn Blanton Fritch. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Jo Bain; sisters, Tina Bain and Peggy Frances Bain, brother, Jason Bain. Mr. Bain was a Semi Truck Driver. He is survived by son, James Edward "Jimbo" Bain, Jr. of Tennessee; sisters, Peggy Hensley of Sparta and Melinda Griffith and (Terry Strayn) of Alexandria; brothers, Jerry "Bucky" Bain of Smithville, David "Cotton" and Priscilla Bain of Smithville; Larry Bain, Johnny Bain of Lascassas, and Derreck Dohner of Ind. several nieces and nephews also survive. The family has honored Mr. Bain's request to be cremated and no services are planned at this time. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
