Janie Lois (Hendrixson) Oakley

Janie Hendrixson Oakley age 83 of the Snow Hill Community in Dowelltown TN died Wednesday May 14, 2025 at Skyline Medical Center.  Survived by son, Michael (Amy) Oakley; brother, Gwynn (Sharon) Hendrixson; granddaughters, Allyson (Tim) Dobbins and Sarah Ashton (BJ) Davis; 3 great-grandsons, Braxton, Brantlee & Ross; brother-in-law, Clarence Davenport; nieces & nephews, Donna, Diana, Darryl, David, Devin, Dawn, Dana & James Michael.  Janie was preceded in death by her parents, James (Louise) Hendrixson and sister, Jimmie Davenport. Graveside service and interment will be 1:PM Tuesday May 20 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens 2700 McMinnville Highway, Smithville, TN 37166, with Bro. Michael Hale officiating.  Janie was a woman of deep faith and a fierce love for her family.  She was a caregiver.  In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer/ Dementia research, in memory of Janie.  Visitation will be Tuesday 11:AM until 12:45 at which time Ms. Oakley will be taken to the cemetery for the graveside service.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Oakley family.
