Jathyn Charles Liebl

Jathyn Charles Liebl age 23 of Smithville passed away at his residence Thursday, March 19, 2026. He was born January 6, 2003, to his mother, Virginia Marlena Todd and father Joseph Charles Liebl. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Waldon Todd and Joe Liebl; great-grandparents, Jack and Thelma Duggin. He worked for Fedex. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Todd (Ricky Meeks) of Smithville; father, Charles Liebl of McMinnville; six sisters, Jana (Ashton) Cliver of Smithville, Anita (Austin) Martin of McMinnville, Lily Myers of McMinnville, Jaylnn Liebl of McMinnville, Kelly Meeks (Zack Walker) of Smithville, Amanda Shaffer of Morrison; two brothers, Kyle Liebl of McMinnville, and Ricky J. Meeks of Smithville; grandparents, Jacklyn and Doug Merriman of McMinnville, Judy Liebl of Spencer; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. The family has honored Jathyn's request to be cremated. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations may be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with Jathyn's funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Liebl family.
