Jean Patton age 82 of Smithville, was born September 30, 1943 to her parents, the late Clyde and Melean Jones Wooten and went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, October 24, 2025 at her residence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Patton and a brother, Gary Wooten. Jean was a member of Martin's Chapel Church in McMinnville and was retired from UCHRA working with Family's First and she was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Lisa (Eddie) Rowland and Angie (Barry) Reed both of Smithville, David Patton of Atlanta and Sherry Patton of Nashville; eight grandchildren, Caleb Rowland, Amanda (JJ) Winchester, John (Faidrah) Reed, Hannah Reed, Benjamin and Samuel Patton, Claudia and Sumner Hanks; eleven great-grandchildren, Averie, Jackson, Addi, Jesse, Alivia, Autumn, Jace, Maizleigh, Archie, Montgomery and Axton; two sisters, Emma (Jackie) Williams and Mary (Kenneth) Duke both of Manchester; one brother, Larry Wooten of Hillsboro. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday 4 PM until 7 PM and Tuesday 9 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM. In addition to flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice, in memory of Mrs. Jean. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Patton Family.
