Jeremy Wayne Hallum

Jeremy Wayne Hallum age 45 of Smithville, passed away Monday night April 4, 2022 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital in Smithville.  He was born September 6, 1976 to his parents, Phyllis Mai Cantrell Hallum and the late Larry Wayne Hallum.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather: Elmus "Tot" Cantrell; Paternal Grandparents: Leonard & Edmonda Hallum.  Jeremy was a truck driver and attended Friendship The Baptist Church.  Graveside services and interment will be held 1:PM Thursday at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Michael Hale officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held Thursday 11:AM until 12:45PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel, at which time we will leave to go to DeKalb Memorial Gardens for the graveside service.  Survivors include: 2 sons: Wesley Hallum, Peyton Hallum both of Smithville; Mother: Phyllis Hallum of Smithville; Sister: Stephanie Crabtree of Woodbury; Maternal Grandmother: Gladys Cantrell of Smithville; Nephews: Conner and Trey Crabtree; Aunt: Suzanne (Bill) Gash of Smithville; Several cousins also survive.  The funeral home lounge is closed at this time and NO FOOD or DRINKS are allowed in the building.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
