Jo Marie Rackley

Jo Marie Rackley, age 77, of Smithville passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro.  She was retired and a Baptist and attended New Home Baptist Church in Smithville. She loved cooking for her family, going to church and watching birds enjoy their feeder.  She was born March 11, 1946 in Smithville to her parents. Willie Carmen “Bill” and Altie Marie Smithson Rackley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brother, Charles and Johnny Rackley.  She is survived by three children, Gordon Rackley, Jerry Rackley and Patty Tatrow all of Smithville; grandchildren, Brandon (Kim) Rackley, Stephanie (Billy) Tiner, Alli (Dustin) Ferrell, Madison Rackley, Bella Rackley, Tyler Cunningham, Meagan Ferrell, Austin Rackley, Zachary Fish, and Remington Tatrow; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Serenity Tiner, Hunter Fish, and Rhett Tatrow; brothers, William (Bethany) Rackley and Wallie Rackley.  Her wishes were to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at 1:PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Bro. Trent Colwell and Bro. Mike Hale will officiate. Visitation 12: noon till the time of service at 1:PM.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel, Smithville, is in charge of the arrangements.
