Joe Howard Thomason

Joe Howard Thomason age 77 of Liberty, passed away Saturday night December 3, 2022 at his residence.  He was born January 19, 1945 to his parents, the late William Howard and Hattie summers Thomason.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harold, Paul and Frank Thomason; 3 sisters, Beck Gingerich, Peggy Keaton and Charlotte Hayes.  Joe was a member of the Dowelltown Baptist Church and worked at Kingston Timers for 33 years.  He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Thomason of Liberty; daughter, Brittney (Carl) Schwartz of Sparta; son, Joe Thomason, Jr. Of Murfreesboro; 3 grandchildren, Bristol and Autumn Belle Redmon and Cody Thomason; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Jessie Thomason of Indiana; sister, Sue Trusty of Carthage and several nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services will be 8:PM Monday, December 5, 2022 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bros. Thomas Hale and Bobby Thomason officiating.  Visitation will be Monday 10:AM until the time of the service at 8:PM.  In lieu of flowers , the family ask that donations be made to Dowelltown Baptist Church playground fund, in memory of Joe.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
