John Clark Obituary

John Michael Clark passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and brother whose life was marked by kindness, strength, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear. John was born with cowboy boots on, he grew up farming and learning to rope and ride. He was a rodeo calf roping champion, spent all his life working the farm, which he learned from his father, passing down this legacy to his children and grandchildren. John worked at Warren County Livestock, and everyone there was like family to him, and will always be remembered for his passion as a cattleman. John is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Clark, who stood by his side through all of life’s seasons. He was the cherished son of Audrey and Perelene Clark, and a dear brother to Melba Clark and Reta Clark. He was a proud and devoted stepfather to Tammy Palmer (Jim), Tina King (Daniel), and Tisha Emberton. His family was his greatest joy, and he took immense pride in each of them. John’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Kyra Travers, Michele McCollough, Taylor Cross, and Tiffany Velazquez, as well as his great-grandchildren, Jude Travers, Joel Woolsey, and Titus Cross. Each of them carries forward a piece of his spirit, love, and values. John will be remembered for his steady presence, his generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Darrell Cantrell and Bro. Cody Holman officiating and burial to follow in New Union Cemetery.
