John Wilson Foster

John Wilson Foster age 83, of Statesville, formerly of Smithville, passed away at his residence on Wednesday September 27, 2023. He was born July 26, 1940, to his parents the late Alvie Rosco and Mattie Lee Puckett Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Foster; sister, Juanita Redmon; brother, Rosco Foster. Mr. Foster He was affiliated with Smith Fork Baptist Church and Buckners Chapel Methodist Church and worked at Auto Body Work. He is survived by children, Tony Foster of Statesville, and Annette Foster of PA; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Hall of Statesville. Funeral services will be 2:PM Monday October 2, 2023, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in Burton-Ponder Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday 11:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
