Joseph Maples Obituary

Joseph A. "Joey" Maples age 63 passed away at his residence Tuesday July 22, 2025. He was born May 9, 1962, to his parents the late, James Robert and Peggy Ann Young Maples. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Pauline Wilson and Jamye Sue Atnip. Mr. Maples was of the Baptist faith and a factory worker. He is survived by 2 children, Whitney (Devin) Thomas of Smithville and Robert Heath Maples of Smithville; grandchildren, Rylan Brock Thomas and Maddox Kase Thomas; sister, LouAnn (Jimmy) Midgett; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family has honored Mr. Maples request to be cremated. No services are planned at this time. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Maples family.
