Joyce Dedene (Jackson) Bogle

Joyce D. Bogle age 66 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday night, February 26, 2020 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital ER.  She was born February 28, 1953 in Cookeville to her parents, the late Horace  and Eurlean Whitehead Jackson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Bogle; daughter, Kayla Cantrell; 7 siblings, Sally Phillips, Mildred Allen, Euwell Jackson, John Rittenberry, Joyce Rittenberry, Helen Lezenby and Elvyon Downs.  She was a factory worker and loved her chihuahuas.  Survivors include 2 sons, Mike Hughes and Kevin Bogle both of Smithville; 4 grandchildren, Heather (Jesse)  Bradford of Smithville, Kaleb Bogle of Sparta, Paige and Austin Cantrell both of Alexandria; 1 great-grandchild, Hinkley Bradford; 2 sisters, Reba Shoemake of Gordonsville and Francis Craigmile of GA; 1 brother, Paul Jackson of Flat Rock; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be 2:PM Sunday, March 1, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale and her family officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Liberty.  Visitation with the family will Saturday 2:PM until 7:PM and Sunday 11:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses, in memory of Ms. Joyce.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
