Judy Carolyn Wiggins, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a lifetime DeKalb community member, passed away on November 4th, 2023 at the age of 79. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, service, and love that will be cherished forever.
Judy's life was marked by a deep commitment to all those around her. She served as a respiratory therapist for thirty years at McFarland Hospital and University Medical Center, providing critical care and comfort to countless patients. Following her retirement, she continued her service by dedicating several years to the special needs community within DeKalb County schools.
Judy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray, and her eldest son, Kenny. She is survived by her son, Aubrey, daughter, Tonya, and step-daughter, Rose. In addition, she leaves behind a legacy of love and care in her grandchildren, Chrissy, Kayla, Cody, Turner, and Alex, as well as ten great-grandchildren.
Judy's family and friends will celebrate her life in a funeral service 11:AM Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Liberty Methodist Church, located at 403 Church St, Liberty, TN with Bro. Wilson Williams officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday 2PM to 7PM and Tuesday 10AM until the time of the service at 11AM. All Visitation and Services will be at the Liberty Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend their warmest thanks to Hospice of Tennessee for their outstanding care.
