Katherine Jean (Goodwin) Johnson

Katherine Jean Goodwin Johnson age 81 of Donelson, passed away Monday morning November 9, 2020 at TriStar Summit Hospital in Hermitage.  She was born November 12, 1938 to her parents, the late Jarvis and Dellie Hendrix Goodwin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Johnson; 8 siblings, Alma, Elsie, James, Roy, Nettie, Walter, Sue and Orvil.  She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.  Ms. Katherine did factory work and was a homemaker, however her greatest enjoyment was being grandmother and babysitting her grandchildren.  She leaves to cherish her memory 3 children, Ricky (Terri) Johnson of Mt. Juliet, Vickey (Joel) Carr of Donelson and Mickey Johnson of Donelson;  3 grandchildren, Matt (Dana) Johnson, Jennifer (Eric) Roberts, Kimberly (Jim) Ledford; 8 great-grandchildren, Gabe and Micah Johnson, Anna and Dean Roberts, Emery Jane and Ellis Patterson, David and Dallas Ledford; several nieces and nephews also survive.  There will be a private graveside service held for Ms. Katherine at Whorton Springs Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, in memory of Ms. Johnson.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
