Lola Mae Rowlett Harcrow age 88 of Smithville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday August 24, 2020 at NHC HealthCare of Sparta. She was born January 26, 1932 to her parents, the late Joe and Edith Tucker Rowlett. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harcrow; daughter, Jeannette Byrge Shelton; brother, Kenneth Rowlett; sister, Margaret Rowlett Hibbitts. She was a member of the Whorton Springs Baptist Church, and she loved her church family. Ms. Lola was a homemaker and mother. She is survived by her son, Donald Kelly (Anita Kay Melton) Byrge of Sparta; 3 grandsons, Matthew (Jessica) Byrge of Vancouver, WA; Nick James Byrge of Sparta and Brandon Shelton of Manchester; 2 granddaughters, Cynthia (Corey) Davis of Sparta and Kaylee Rose Byrge of Sparta; 2 great-granddaughters, Aleka Curtis (Kyle) Rice and Maylee Grace Curtis both of Sparta; 1 brother, Billy Joe (Wanda) Rowlett of Georgia; special friend and neighbor, Kimberly Rhea. Graveside services and interment were held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the staff at NHC in Sparta for the love and care shown to Ms. Lola. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's or Breast Cancer Foundation, in memory of Ms. Lola. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
