Marianna (Mobley) Selby

Marianna Selby age 80 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville.  She was born January 13, 1942to her parents, the late Earl G. and Edith Marie Kiebler Mobley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Selby; 1 daughter, Sheryl Shadowens; 1 grandson, James Shadowens; 2 sisters, Juanita Selby and Phyllis Powers; 4 brothers, Lee, Jack, Robert and Dick Mobley.  She was a homemaker and member of New Life United Pentecostal Church.  She is survived by 3 daughters, Sandra Selby of Smithville, Belinda Stratton of Rock Island and Shannon (Ernie) Nichols of Smithville; 4 grandchildren, Vanessa Moser, Heather Theodore, Jesse Theodore, Ashlee (Johnny) Garcia; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Miya, Mason, Liam and Mikayla and soon arriving Leia; sister, Vivian (Elva) Daniels of Vandalia, Ohio.  Funeral services will be 7:PM Monday, December 5, 2022 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Dwayne Cornelius officiating.  Visitation will be Monday 3:PM until the time of the service at 7:PM.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to New Life United Pentecostal Church Building Fund, in memory of Mrs. Selby.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
